If you have knowledge or skills which you want  to share with others, post it up on Local Learn.

Just hit the “Post Your Teaching Service”  box on the homepage.

You’ll need to register first, then you can log in, create your listing and upload photos.

You’ll also need to choose a listing package-there are three options starting at just $3 per month. You can pay using a credit card, through  paypal or internet banking.

Once your listing has been posted you will be contacted by interested learners via the email address you provide. Then all you need to do is agree on details such as cost, time, date, place and numbers of learners-whether it’s an individual or group session, and you’re good to go!

Some of the benefits of teaching through local learn…

Earn extra income

Sharing your knowledge and skills with others in your neighbourhood or area is a great way to earn some extra money. Local Learn makes it easy for people who want to learn to get in touch with people who want to teach and most people are more than happy to pay a fair price to learn a new skill.

Contribute and share

Don’t let your knowledge and skills go untapped. By sharing what you know or what you can do, you contribute to a healthier, happier, more connected, more enlightened community. Whether you’re young or old, academic or practical, Kiwi born-and-bred or new to the country, your skills and knowledge are of great value to others in your community.

Develop your skills as a teacher

Through Local Learn, you can develop your skills and confidence to teach others. Local Learn is all about informal, real-life learning situations which take place in your home, your garden, your workshop, your community.  It only takes one satisfied learner to spread the word about your teaching to their networks and you will have a constant flow of keen learners contacting you.
